AIXM was originally developed by EUROCONTROL to meet the needs of the European AIS Database (EAD). The aim is to create an internationally recognized standard that allows the provision of real-time aviation information in digital format. AIXM is an XML and GML based information exchange model that enables the management and exchange of data used in Aviation Information Services (AIS) in digital environment. AIXM is “Speaking the same language!” Since 2003, AIXM has been carried out as a joint project with the support of the international community under the leadership of EUROCONTROL and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
In the scope of the eTOD Project for the Malaysian Civil Aviation Authority, Haritaevi has produced eTOD, AMDB, and ASRN data for 21 airports, converting and delivering them in AIXM and AMXM formats.
With the experience and knowledge gained in this project, Haritaevi has developed its own AIXM Management System Software.
